4 motor electric train engine used to build the LA subway and restore San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and fire damage

odd but understandably, the Oahu Railway and Land Company coach cars and caboose, are in LA's Griffith Park Traveltown

the collection of steam locomotives at the Griffith Park Traveltown museum in Los Angeles

this crane once belonged tot he Navy, I'm going to guess to move torpedoes and missiles from the railways to the ships and subs

there have been a lot of movies from Hollywood with, or about, trains

Famous for brazenly hopping the most dangerous trains, even legendary hobo A no. 1 (Lee Marvin) won't ride a locomotive guarded by brutal railway cop Shack (Ernest Borgnine). But when his young protégé, Cigaret (Keith Carradine), boasts that he'll hop Shack's train, A no. 1 joins him, unwilling to lose his hard-won moniker. Soon, the two tramps are in a life-or-death battle with the sadistic Shack in this intense Depression-era drama.

Check out the sneaky video editting... notice the vehicles in the background at 1:04 and 6:02

at  1:04 the train finishes traveling from the upper right to the lower left of the screen, 2 seconds before the 1st train from the lower right to the upper left of the screen

and at 6:20, the 2nd train from lower right to upper left passes through the crossing, only 2 seconds before the next goes through the intersection from lower left to upper right
