high winds between 55 and 70 mph, blow train cars off an elevated rail in New Orleans today... no one could predict this would happen in high winds? Seriously? Have they never seen a semi truck and trailer blow over in an online video?

Nearly a dozen shipping containers and some train cars were captured on a dash cam (I gotta get me one of those!) at the moment when strong winds knocked them over on the Huey P. Long Bridge. It happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday in Elmwood behind the Raising Cane’s restaurant on South Clearview Parkway and Bloomfield Street.

2 out of 3 drivers on the road are assholes. Here is the proof. Camaro would like to get somewhere, pick up truck asshole wants to be a bully and prevent that, and trucker just wants to get somewhere safely.

Tim Linton was behind them with his new dash cam that only cost 40 dollars( I frequently remind you all to get one!) and mentioned that this was on the I 90 in New York near Batavia

In the comments it's alleged that the camaro driver was drunk at .19 bac, did not have a valid drivers license, was charged DWI, unlawful operation of a motor vehicle, several traffic violations, and arrested

The I-80 through Wyoming is a mess. Lots of semis piled up, a couple people dead. This will take 12 - 24 hours to clear out. This video is exceptional in showing up close what the inside of a pile up looks like

A stretch of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming, remained closed Friday morning, more than 15 hours after major wrecks involving dozens of semi trucks forced police to close it down.

about 50 commercial and 20 private vehicles were involved

Google autonomous cars have double the accident rate as the general population per mile driven

The self-driving cars that Google Inc. has been testing on California's roads and highways were involved in 11 minor accidents over the past six years, according to the tech giant.

The company released the number Monday after The Associated Press reported that Google had notified California of three collisions involving its self-driving cars since September, when reporting all accidents became a legal requirement as part of the permits for the tests on public roads.

"Not once was the self-driving car the cause of the accident," wrote Google's Chris Urmson.

It was not possible to independently verify Google's assertions about the fault and nature of the collisions. The company would not release accident documentation, and the California Department of Motor Vehicles said it could not discuss details, citing confidentiality.

(it seems the California DMV works for Google, not the taxpaying citizens that fund the state of California, and who are put at risk on public transportation roads by Google cars...,WTF?)

The agency has licensed just 48 of these test cars.

Because the cars are required to record and store the last 30 seconds of a data before any accident, reconstructing what happened should be easier, at least.

(So why hasn't the AP Newswire demanded that very data for this story reporting?)

this is a new one, must have scared the hell out of the car driver, and maybe the truckers too

A Malibu lost control, and like a scene from a movie, crashed through a dealership lot and took out a ZL1 Camaro and a Jaguar

his car struck a parked vehicle facing North Frontage north of Price Road , flipped over a second car and landed upside down on the grassy shoulder Tuesday afternoon.

Another five vehicles on the luxury car lot of Barrett Auto Gallery were damaged, including a 2014 Jaguar that was caved in on the driver’s side so much that its front wheel was bent in.

Tire tracks showed the car hopped the curb on Barnard rd in Brownsville Texas, before slamming into the Jaguar, knocking it a quarter-turn sideways and 30 feet back. Debris was scattered across the parking lot, with one side mirror coming to rest at the auto group’s handicap ramp.

The vehicle then hit a Chevrolet Camaro, flipping it over onto the shoulder where it remained until a tow truck arrived to haul it off.
