2008 Road King Harley's getting auctioned by the dozens in Peru, now that the police are done with them

Formerly owned and operated by the National Police of Puente Piedra, north of Lima (Peru), but all of them were withdrawn from circulation due to budget problems with operation or maintenance.

So some Harley enthusiasts bought them in batches, because of no parts availability nor dealerships in the area, to get the best parts together to make one good bike from many.

They sold at auction for $1300, but after getting a good one together sell for $12,000

Corporate Harley Davidson has made a mistake... they're refusing to do warranty work with the excuse that flying flags damaged the drivetrain... are they really building them that weak?

Seems like HD is stupidly short sighted on this... only imbeciles don't know or understand that you thank the vet, fix the bike, and take him out for a steak dinner while the repairs are getting done. Swap some stories while sharing a meal, and invite him to hq and the museum next time he's in Wisconsin. Is the HD service manager really this effing stupid?
